About First Feasibility
First Feasibility provides early-stage desktop assessment for renewable energy and other land development opportunities.
The service helps developers, landowners, agents, advisers and project teams understand the main issues affecting a site before committing to more detailed planning, technical or environmental work.
Purpose
Early development decisions are often made before a full consultant team has been appointed.
At that stage, the question is usually whether the site appears worth taking further and what should be investigated next.
First Feasibility was developed to provide a proportionate first view of a site at this point in the process.

Planning Judgement Supported by Spatial Analysis
First Feasibility combines professional planning and GIS experience with a bespoke spatial assessment system developed for early feasibility work.
The system helps bring relevant mapped evidence together quickly and consistently. The final output is reviewed in the context of the individual site, proposed development and available information.
Mapped evidence is useful, but it does not always explain how important a constraint is, how several issues interact or whether further investigation is proportionate. That interpretation forms part of the assessment.
